As selected by the Guardian and Cleantech Group, the Global Cleantech100 highlights the most promising private clean technology companies around the world, recognizing companies at the forefront of cleantech innovation, and those that, in the opinion of the selection panel, are “most likely to make the most significant market impact over the next 5-10 years.” This is the second year in the row Ice Energy was selected for inclusion on the list.
Platts Global Energy Award Finalist
Ice Energy was selected from among nearly 300 nominated companies from more than 30 countries, including technologies focused on renewable energy, carbon capture and storage, smart grid or smart metering systems, energy storage devices, advanced propulsion systems and electric/hybrid transport.
Named to Global Cleantech 100, and Named to Going Green 100
The Going Green 100 award honors the top companies “using new technology to deliver resources better, faster, cheaper, and cleaner,” according to the Always On rankings. Judges evaluated hundreds of companies, assessing the breakthrough potential of their technologies, market size, management team, and investors.

Green Building Innovation Award, ASHRAE
The panel of judges, representing American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) members, selected the Ice Bear system based on industry leadership in design, application, value to end users and market impact. Ice Energy accepted the award today at the 7th Annual AHR EXPO in Chicago.
Highest Rating Ever by SmartGrid News Scorecard
The SGN Smart Grid Scorecard is an independent appraisal of the smart grid readiness of products and systems against benchmarks and attributes outlined by standards bodies. Categories include security, manageability, scalability, extensibility, potential impact, openness and more. With a score of 90 out of a possible 100 points, Ice Energy is the first company to score 90 or higher since the scorecard began in early 2008.
